about

Recorded at Stellasounds, Stronachie, Perthshire. Engineered, mixed and mastered by Not for Pussies

JK saw PH performing This side of the looking glass on German TV (with full orchestra). Then BK found a second hand Over in a record exchange in Edinburgh. It became a favourite album. JK saw the K-group in Furth during her year in Germany and on her return we both saw the K-group in Peebles and then Edinburgh. The rest – including 5 more live gigs in various combinations – is history!

We have given these songs our own sound – but hopefully kept the spirit of the originals.

Not for Pussies have been playing together for over 30 years – in various guises. J & B met at school, formed a band at University [see Archive section on our Bandcamp page] and then played very little music for 10 years, as B’s medical career progression got in the way. Not for Pussies, as an entity, first appeared in 2009 as their eponymous first album unplugged years of pent up creativity!

Co-produced with a friend in their developing home studio, this album whetted their appetite to home-produce their own brand of music. Since then, the band has produced a total of 6 albums. Raised on progressive rock music, VDGG/PH and King Crimson are unmistakably at the core of their musical style – reflected in the sound palate and musical structures they use.
