Words
This song always came the last. I wrote it when all the songs were already recorded for the album. Even the Italian project was about to fruit. I had some discussion, by the end of which the concept of this song was formed. I might looked distracted to my friend when we spoke, not focused, but such is the process of creation, the moment when something is being conceived. As if a sort of direct connection with the Universe has established.
Vardan Gaboyan added his passionate guitar part. He nailed it, forming that distinctive sound which leaves no chance for any “next track” on this album.
Drawing
I never drew. Drawing or painting was never something I could think of as yet another direction of unfolding my creative strengths. But seeing how bad the AI applications decode my requests, how poor is their understanding of what I want to say with my song, I took a pencil and started drawing the first line...
lyrics
Neither grace, nor disgrace,
nor taboos, nor bijoux,
nor lace, nor trace of all that artificial fuss,
nor scars, nor stars twisted in her silky hair,
nor the Cross, nor Magen David or Buddha sitting on his feet,
nor amputated limbs, nor private cash machines,
nor cold darkness of the prison grot,
nor the power of the 30-second advertising spot,
nor city centre flat, nor ramshackle hut,
nor her wealthy daddy, nor his disfigured body -
nothing can affect the blind lovers’ inner vision,
no one can distort each other’s beauty in their eyes.
Nothing can affect,
no one can distort...
